A choir the size of Island Bel Canto Singers depends on the goodwill and support of its community in order to succeed. There's only so much we can do ourselves.
We became a registered charity, so that you can contibute to our continued growth and development, and receive an official receipt for income tax purposes. It's a win-win solution!
Money raised through charitable donations is used by the choir to support the development of our members' vocal and performance skills. That includes things like buying music and technology for creating rehearsal resources, attending vocal workshops in the community and beyond, bringing in clinicians to work with the choir, and traveling to and participating in choral festivals.
